Street Life

Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? And the King will tell them, ‘I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me.

Members of Family Life serving the San Antonio Community.

Here at “The Life” we are intentional in obeying  Jesus’ command to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. The newest ministry at Family Life, Street Life, does exactly that. Through various partnerships in the San Antonio Community, God has blessed us to be able to share God’s love through providing our community with tangible blessings like food and clothes. Every Friday at 2:00 people from every corner of San Antonio to recieve food, clothes, cleaning supplies and other things God has blessed the ministry with all at no charge. Isaiah 58:10 says, ”If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday.” At Family Life we are honored that God has chosen us to affect change in the lives of his people and rejoice in the opportunity to do so. We believe through this ministry God will restore the dignity and hope to all who cross our path. We are not just another food pantry but we treat our clients with the utmost respect and our honored to serve them.

Because of the tremendous doors God has opened we are able to feed and clothe over 3,000 people a month. This ministry is possible and successful only because of the members of Family Life who give of their time and serve endlessly. Every Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, members of “The Life are volutneering their time for this ministry. Starting from the San Antonio Food Bank we load, transport, unload and shelve anywhere from 15,000 to 20,000 pounds of food, distribute them to our clients and clean the facilities after. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, contact the office at 210.637.5673, 1 hour, 3 hours or all day, it all pleases God.
